Senior Account Executive

As a former Communications Director for a U.S. Congressman, Christine McCarty knows how to develop newsworthy stories and manage media. From conducting national press conferences to local workshops and town hall meetings, Christine dealt with both national and local media. Christine now oversees day-to-day media relations for clients of Mercury’s public relations services. Whether it’s IT software, a new shoe or a non profit’s cause, Christine gets the press’ attention.

Before coming to Mercury, Christine spent nearly three years working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. She worked for three members of Congress and oversaw their media relation’s outreach. In her last position, Christine wrote press releases, speeches and oversaw both internal and external communications for a congressman.

Christine earned her Bachelors in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
